Traditions are an integral part of our school, as they provide a sense of continuity and stability that helps to anchor students’ lives. They are the customs, practices, and beliefs that are passed down from generation to generation, grade to grade, shaping the way we live our school lives. Traditions are rooted in history, family and culture and provide comfort to new learners. They can bring us together, reinforce the bonds of brotherhood, and provide a sense of belonging. Traditions at our school range from small things (like…), to big commemorative days and events like camps or compulsory fixtures and they help connect us with the past of this institution. From the warcry stick to the grade 8 camp, they all shape and unlock the fledglings to allow them to soar with confidence into their new career. My grade 8 year, although mainly taken up by Covid-19, was one of the most enjoyable years I have had at this school. This is the work of the traditions in place to welcome the new learners into the school
